What we Look for

The Chalk Artists Network welcomes chalk artists from any where in the world. It doesn’t matter if you are a student who is just starting out or a seasoned professional with decades of experience. The Chalk Artists Network is here to help all chalk artists grow personally and professionally. Our primary mission is to find more work for professional artists. We welcome input from everyone and encourage experienced artists to share their knowledge with new artists.

There are five designations at the Chalk Artists Network:

• Student – anyone in high school or college
• Apprentice – any non-student who is just starting out with chalk art
• Artisan – artists who have some experience at chalk art festivals or some experience with using soft pastels
• Master – artists who have extensive experience and have received at least one award at chalk art festivals or has extensive experience with soft pastels but has never worked professionally
• Professional – accomplished chalk artists whose works exemplify a professional look and who have been hired by a business entity to create art

Membership Prerequisites

1. You must list an active website with samples of your work.
2. To be considered for a “Professional” designation you must have proof of your corporate experience reflected on your website.
3. Annual Membership fee: (Payable once your application has been submitted and approved. NOTE: All fees are waived for 2020).

• Student – $10
  Apprentice – $20
  Artisan – $20
  Master – $20
  Professional – $60

Approval Process

Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Chalk Artists Network staff. They will ensure that your work reflects the membership level for which you are submitting – not just based on your volume of work but also on your effective use of the medium. Chalk Artists Network will contact you via email to advise you of your approval status within 7 days of the submission of your application.

Once accepted, we will send you a link to pay your Annual Membership fee before we officially add you to the site as a hosted chalk artist.
